Union flight attendants at American Airlines recently delivered a strike authorization vote of 99%, with 93% turnout. The staggering total was the result of not only a membership itching to walk out but a campaign that engaged rank-and-file members.
My last flight was delayed like 8 hours it sucked. The whole staff, crew, and attendants were great. They were stuck with us and apparently they don’t get paid until the flight is in the air (or something like that).
That suuuuucks. They should get paid for all that time they have to wait at the airport. Hell, I should get a full refund for that flight. I could have driven to my destination in less time.
With the shit that flight attendants have to put up with from barely civilized passengers, they deserve a big raise.
