    On paper, brandishing is not punishable by summary execution. There’s a charge with some jail time attached.

    But if you point a gun at someone they may just shoot you.

    This situation was a few steps removed from that, but the difference is the same: make people think they’re in a life-or-death situation, and they might choose which.
