I’m sorry you are in that situation.

I don’t know where you’re from, but I did a quick Google search and there are multiple classes for adults in the next city for me. It might suck for a week and I totally understand why you are feeling that way, but those classes target adults specifically, so they are all in the same situation, which makes it much less embarrassing.

Personally I don’t think it is embarrassing at all, you just never had the chance to learn it, but I can understand where your feelings come from, as many people learn it as children.

I can only encourage you to go and do it. I think cycling might just be the best way of traveling and getting over that embarrassed feeling once (I don’t think it comes back once you started the actual class) will give you a lifetime of freedom.

There’s some resources online as well: https://www.bicycling.com/skills-tips/a20026575/how-to-learn-to-ride-a-bike-as-an-adult/

Maybe that is already enough to learn it or at least give you some head start for the classes. If you try, please wear a helmet, everybody falls at some point and especially in the beginning! I fell hundreds of times in my life.

Thanks for the kind words, I’ll go and look up if they’re some biking lessons near my home. I know I shouldn’t feel embarrassed about this since I’m sure that more cyclists are as passionate as you about sharing your hobby with others, but yeah, I’ll have to get over that.
