Opium poppy production in Afghanistan, previously the world’s top supplier, has plummeted since the Taliban administration banned the cultivation of narcotics last year, a United Nations report said on Sunday.

It won’t make a difference, only a small percentage of that flows in eastern US hubs, and basically all of it gets consumed in neighboring states and trafficked up to the UK, EU and Russia. In the eastern US they have fentanyl powder mixes that might be adulterated with heroin, on the west coast they have the same powder mix, but also tar from Mexico. I would be surprised if more than a couple percent of their output was actually reaching the states.

I love how you think the only smack market the op is talking about is the USA.

      USA default-ism at its finest…

To be fair the person I was responding to seems to be from the US.

Last I checked the market for all those countries dwarf US demand.

All this means for the other smack markets is have fun with Fentanyl. Some of the EU countries were a destination hub for fentalogs and other analog drugs in their hay day. Doubt it would take much to rekindle those connections with the Asian labs for the fentanyl.
