    Happy New Year!

    Happy new year!
Prompt: photograph of happy little kids holding sparklers at night during new year's eve, in a suburb with fireworks exploding in the background, panoramic view, 18mm, Disposable Camera --ar 4:3 --s 75

A memory of when I was little, we’d go out and light sparklers together before the “real” fireworks were set off at midnight. It felt so special to be out in the dark and getting to hold those sparklers.

Oh come on! (Excitement expressed as false exasperation)

I really thought this was a real picture taken by a cheap camera somewhere in the late 90s.

The clothes are right, the slightly out of focus kid on the right is spot on, the … Everything is there!

I see that you have disposable camera in the prompt, the generator sure nailed that look.

I was quite surprised with how well it came out myself! Though I had to retry a few times to get the sparkler in their hand :)
Choosing a camera type in Midjourney can really make a difference if you want to go for realistic photos. Here’s a few of my runner-ups (behind a spoiler to keep the thread a bit clean):

Amazing! There must be millions of pictures in this style that have beens scanned over the years and ended up getting scooped up for training data. Any one of these could be mistaken for a real photo.
