Hello Lemmy Android community!

I have a Fairphone 4 and don’t like the appearance of the default launcher much. The basic icon grid is OK but the clock and search bar (that sometimes displays the date, probably some bug) are ugly and I can’t find a way to customize them properly / remove the widgets. So I’m looking for an alternative launcher.

There are many options and I tried a few FOSS launchers but didn’t like their appearance either. What I’m searching for is a standard looking launcher with a nice digital clock and possibly some weather info. So what I mean with standard is app icon grid plus nice clock above.

The screenshots from Nova Launcher on the Play Store page look nice but it’s not open source AFAIK. At this point however I’m also open to closed source suggestions.

UPDATE: I failed to read the sticky. This question is already answered here: https://lemmy.world/post/452301

I love KISS, have you looked at F-Droid? You might like Discreet or Kvaesitso

I use KISS on my phone, it makes one handed easy. I use Discreet on my tablet, nothing on my homescreen but, pull down for my favorites, all apps (except those I have hidden) are swipe up. People love Kvaesitso though, and it’s really good, just not for me. Probably in my perfect world I would use Discreet with something like Samsung Side Panels, but FOSS.
