As an ex-lurker coming from Reddit, I’m now trying to be more active on Lemmy to contribute to the site. However, one of the reasons I used to be a lurker in the first place, is because I simply didn’t have interesting things to post. So now I’m kinda stumped, I don’t want to return to my old habits of only lurking and nothing else…
Anyone else in a similar situation as I am? Just curious how everyone else is dealing with having to contribute a lot more now.
Yep. I’ve commented more in the last 48 hours than I have in the last 10 years. Comment threads are generally shorter with 20-30 comments to reply to or engage with vs hundreds or thousands of bot comments, so it’s been different for sure but also easier to find comments I can relate to and engage with
