I’m not the biggest fan of Labour’s current policy, but it isn’t true to say that they are literally the same, because they aren’t.
Labour have consistently spoken out on why Rwanda is both morally wrong and legally unsound, and are proposing a policy where UK Gov would work with the French to stop boats crossing the channel, and other countries closer to conflict zones (like Greece) to co-operate on methods to deal with potential asylum seekers and those feeling war, famine, etc.
