    It’s really not. They’re literally called communities.

    Don’t Reddit-ify Lemmy. If you want Reddit then go back.

    It’s also not new. A lot of people used to correct sub->community months ago when we all came over.

      I’m not always going to want to type “communities”. Am I to write “com”? sub is a convenient term and we all know what it means. It doesn’t have to have anything to do with reddit other than its origin which btw doesn’t go away if you don’t talk about it. You’re the first person to correct me even though I’ve probably written that on Lemmy 100 times.

      If you want Reddit then go back.

      No fuck that, you’re the one making this about Reddit. Stop projecting.

          The only thing upsetting me is people like you who take one tiny unimportant detail and inflate to an entirely different thing that “should” be argued about.

          You’re only responding like a smartass here because you know that there indeed is not a shorter word for SUBS on Lemmy and thus, you have no recommendation to give, only ire to spread.
