I’d be thrilled to know your career path.
How do you feel about the term “military vet”?
I was a Marine Corps bat veteran and served in the Marine Corps for 18 years and I’m now an attorney in New York City. I’m a bit confused on where to start with your experience. Did you know this is a lineage from the Japanese Majjhima Nikaya?
I’d really like to know more!
I would be happy if someone could bring you to them!
Yeah, it’s been hard for me. I was a Combat Medic before I joined the Army. My time with the Army was rough, but I remember being told I wasn’t welcome. I made good friends, but the Army didn’t know what to make of me. I was sent to boot camp, but I was stuck in boot camp for like 2 years without a place. And I was never called back. Then I went to basic training, but I was told I was too young to be a combat medic. I got called up to serve, but my training grade was below mine and I was sent to boot camp and again I was stuck in boot camp for the next year. Then in 2015, I was called to the infantry. I was called up to the infantry, but my training grade was not up to par, so I was sent to boot camp again. And I was sent to basic training, but again I was sent to boot camp again. I was sent home again in 2016, and I was told that in 2017 I would be a reserve soldier. And so on and so forth.
