I don’t think this will be an issue with the regulars, but because I’m paranoid about some random users coming in, it’s okay to be gay or transgender or whatever you identify as. Saying otherwise is bigotry, rule 1.

My gf swears her brother is gay because he drank soy formula. I had to explain to her he’s gay because he’s gay. It’s not because of soy, I mean it’s possible but most likely it’s just the way he is. He is also ten times more conservative than I am.

I still don’t understand the conservative gay crowd. Any clue how he reconciled it?

How so does it require reconciling? It’s not as if whatever causes being gay also causes leftism or something. Being gay is just who he is, not the determination of what he believes

How does it NOT require reconciling? Have you seen how conservatives treat LGBT folks?

I mean by best friend is trans and my gf brother is gay. I would say we treat them like anyone else.

Conservatives are not a monolithic group like liberals. Most of don’t care if someone is lgbt.

One party stays out of their way, the other makes it harder to be gay. What else do I need to say? I know you’re being coy.

Exactly. He just happens to sexually attracted to men. That doesn’t change his views on the constitution, crime, etc. I didn’t even know for years he was gay. He doesn’t hide it. It just never came up
