    By nature protests are supposed disrupt people who can change things. When NYC had a trash collection crisis, someone called to hurl it all on the mayor’s lawn, and hey wow the garbageman negotiations were solved in a fucking hurry.

    How long have these groups been using these tactics?

    What has it accomplished? What effect came from forcing people to acknowledge their message?

    The problem is that democracy’s in a rough state right now.
