      That’s because they were tired after doing all of this. Where velvet ropes had some mysterious power over the seditious insurrectionists, actual law enforcement didn’t. After all, velvet ropes can’t shoot people in the shoulder for breaching a broken window after they’ve been explicitly told to not do it.

          I was the victim of an insurrection on the highway a couple months back. That damn construction equipment hauler cracked my damn window with a small rock. It’s literally the end of our democracy!

      I do remember early reports and I thought oh shit. They new media made it sound like it was total destruction.

      Turned on the news and saw them walking single file through the ropes. My kid asked me what was happening. I said that’s the weirdest coup I’ve ever seen.

      That’s when I knew it was all bullshit
