Public media isn’t much better, since they’re still reliant on donors and government support. Independent not-for-profit media is good, but while they tell the truth their resources are smaller than the rest. Big social media is algorithmic garbage that is meant to drive engagement and has no interest in actually informing the public about anything.
But on the bright side, the free press has never really existed, so really we’re not worse off than any other point in history lol
