The point I was trying to make is you can choose the mood (or the mindset) with which to face your current circumstances.

Either what you face is a situation or a problem. By definition a problem has a solution and a situation does not. If it’s a problem (there is a solution) you work on the solution. If it is a situation (there is no solution) you can’t change it, so just accept it and move on.

I find that I get joy everyday from the little things - tasty food, good company and nature. I don’t let the big things dictate my mood.

The solution to the problem is not benefitial to the little individual. Thus, it’s a situation.

I have accepted it, but things are not always easy, and that brings me down sometimes, so I try and look for sources to make me laugh, like Lemmy here… or just get my mind off those things with some interesting article or info, whatever.

I’ve seen people do it every day and I’m immensly jelous of them. My SO is like this and this is the one thing I’m jelous about.

I’ve always been like this, ever since I was kid. Never satisfied with little things, always looking at the bigger ones and the bigger picture. It’s just a character trait that I don’t really like, mostly because it’s what makes me sad. But, I try and keep it under control.
