I thought this was going to be a passing comment blown way out of proportion, but no. He literally said that and meant it. What the fuck is wrong with this place.
And then tried to backtrack it. And say he was out of context. No, there’s no context Reschke. You’re just a piece of shit who said the quiet part out loud.
The unfortunate part is, he’s acting like an accurate representative of the Klamath Basin.
Some states still have laws on the books that atheists can’t hold office. They are not currently enforceable because of a SCOTUS ruling in Torcaso v. Watkins, but Republican nominated members of SCOTUS don’t give a shit about precedence or the constitution.
