I really, really hate Stage Manager on the iPad, but I want to use an external display to allow me to have 3 or 4 apps open at a time and all showing. I.e. not just mirroring my old style multitasking display on the external monitor.

So…do that? With stage manager on external displays, I don’t think the awfulness will be so prevalent. I’m with you, but I think I’m missing a facet of the issue here.
@Reverendender I hate the way that Stage Manager presents windows. I want 1 or 2 apps visible on the iPad and 1 or 2 apps visible on the Monitor. No gaps to the edge of the screen, no little markers telling me where to resize the window. The whole screen used, the easy ability to share the screen or go full screen. As little cruft, unnecessary screen decoration and as much focus as I can get. Stage manager is fundamentally anti what I want.
