The people affected by those decisions want them to be made by smart people who have their best interests at heart. But, those aren’t the kinds of people who end up in leadership positions. Whether it’s capitalism, communism, even monarchies, the type of people who tend to be in charge are the ones who want power and know how to get it and use it.
