As the article says, the only difference is that they’re willing to present Russia with their peace deal (“You get none of our land”) while Russia is still inside Ukrainian land, instead of waiting for all Russian troops to be out of Russia before offering it.

This just shuts up Russian propaganda angles about how Ukraines being mean by not inviting Russia to the peace talks.
