Personally I think not having karma limits is nice currently! I understand why they were used but grinding karma as a lurker on reddit was frustrating.

Yep. So many ISPs use CGNAT now because of the rising costs of IPv4 addresses. And for IPv6, you can get a /32 block for free from Hetzner or other cloud providers.
