Bushnell identified as an Anarchist, but no one in Anarchist communities are going to encourage self-immolation. Solarpunk in particular is about being hopeful for the future, in opposition to the rise of Doomerism.
Also, I want to mention that I created this particular breadtube for a reason. There are already multiple breadtubes around Lemmy, but all of them encourage and support authoritarian tankie-ism, which I am NOT a fan of, and will not allow to propagate on my community. I don’t believe that aspect had any influence on Bushnell (I don’t know of any tankies who advocate for self-immolation), but I do want to make it clear that those extreme views will not be tolerated.
