War abroad is more profitable and sustainable than war nearby. Hence Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea. Europe has seen double-digits inflation in no small part due to the economic destruction and sanctions of two of it’s larget and nearest trading partners.
If it was liberals that wanted the war it would be happening on russian soil.
