      Yes, the above poster is a very patriotic idiot who doesn’t know anything about their own country. Not entirely their fault, however. America bad, after all.

    • ahhh yes, the Soviets, the bringer of liberty and happiness. Funny how every Country that was Occupied by them talks about how it was the worst time they experienced and how they had / still have much higher suicide rates than other Countries. Truly, how could we (the free World) have opposed them?

      This is somewhat of a myth by exageration, the US supported the mujahideen, people seem to equate the Taliban and the mujahideen but only a small subset of them became the Taliban, a good number of them would become the Northen Alliance who would resist the Taliban. And it must be said while the US had been the masters of imperialism lately that’s no excuse for Soviet imperialism
