This makes me imagine a PC game from 1994 that was very good, very difficult, only 94 copies were ever sold and getting it running on modern hardware is practically impossible because it requires the 3DFX Glide renderer.

You know how the indie game scene totally embraced the SNES pixel art aesthetic? I really want to see folks start to go for the 90’s PC game thing, like make a game based on Princess of Persia up there.

They did make another Prince of Persia. It’s on Epic game store, with decent reviews.

The indie market has been littered with boomer shooters, not quite the same but I can’t get enough of em myself.

They’ve made a bunch of Prince of Persia games over the years, I don’t think any can compare to the first two though. Jordan Mechner is a genius.

Not much of a boomer shooter guy; I think I’ve done my tour of duty. I want a little more variety.

Like, did you ever play Magic Carpet back in the day? The PC game from 1994?

I don’t think I did, but I did play both those Prince of Persia games. Not a genre that gets a lot of games these days.
