    I hate when companies do this. I’m pretty damn liberal but I even consider this censorship. Just worried that someone might be offended.

    I applaud the WB. Whenever you go watch looney toons you’ll get a nice pop up that says something along the lines of “This was a product of it’s time. The views expressed here are outdated and wrong. We feel to hide them would be to minimize the struggles people had. Please watch these and think of how far we have come as a society” or something.

    And that’s how Michael Jackson’s episode or anything else should be handled. Put a notice up at the beginning, but to me it’s the same as book burning. We need to remember the good and the bad.

    And iirc Michael Jackson’s accusers admitted it was fabricated anyway

      D+ does just warnings too on some shows/movies. I know they do for the asian cat in The Aristocats.

      I feel the same way. We all know when something’s old and should be more than capable of watching it through that lens.

      I’m used to seeing warnings/censorship on newer media for older audiences who might find it uncomfortable, but censoring older media for newer audiences will always seem backwards to me.
