I’ve done some reading on no-nrutral switches, but several of the posts have been from a few years ago. As were nearly in 2024 are there any newer options or recommendations?

Some requirements:

  • On/off and Dimmer switches
  • Manageable or no minimum wattage (to avoid having to add additional hardware)
  • Ease of use and “normal”-ish appearance

Many zwave smart switches have a no neutral installation method. You need to purchase a resistor separately for each switch that essentially places a small short on the switch allowing current to flow through it permanently. It allows the switch to be powered via current loading and not direct voltage input. I’m probably butchering the technical part but inovelli and zooz both have options. The only draw back is slightly increased electrical usage. Maybe like 5 cents a month though.
