It is nice that this instance of harassment got its consequences, and probably 500k is a life-changing amount for the perpetrator, so one could assume he, and everyone else got the message as well.
But I can’t help but wonder why we never read that a corporation would get fined for a proportionally life-changing amount for similar or worse crimes.
500k is a bit more than life changing, it’s life ruining. Corporations usually get a slap on the wrist, in Europe it’s just a bit better with a hard slap on the face.
