- Dicey Dungeon
- Chrono Ark
- Luck be a Landlord
- Tainted Grail: Conquest
Plus 1 more game before for $18.00
- Fights in Tight Spaces
I own none of them. Could you compare them to other games? Or maybe note one or two that you especially liked? I find it hard to judge a card based game from a gameplay video.
I’ve enjoyed Inscryption and Slay the Spire (have Monster Train and will play soon), and I’m a fan of card games generally, if that helps.
Edielt: I just looked at some reviews, and Alina of the Arena, Tainted Grail, and Banners of Ruin look like a lot of fun, and Chrono Ark has interesting mechanics but I think I’d get annoyed at the JRPG mechanics. The others are probably with a try, but while fights in tight places looks interesting, I’m not sure the extra $6 is worth it to me since I’ll probably get tired of this type of game after playing the others.
Anyway, it looks like a solid deal and I’ll be getting the first tier.
Funny enough, the 3 I can talk about are the same as Tiberius.
My thoughts:
Dicey Dungeon: the dice adds a nice little wrinkle of randomness, the premise is fun and there’s a nice little comedy to it.
Luck be a Landlord: I like this one as there aren’t too many slot machine mechanic games. That alone makes it worth checking out.
Fights in Tight Spaces: my favorite of the 3. You are a spy fighting goons on a grid. The addition of spacing makes this very interesting, as it’s almost another resource to consider in card choice. Very fun game.
I’m not good at comparing games but I can tell you my thoughts on Dicey Dungeon, Luck be a Landlord, and Fights in Tight Spaces. Hopefully another user can talk about the rest.
Dungeon dungeon is a simple dice roller. It’s a fun game. More subject to randomness as dice fuel your actions. I like it.
Luck be a Landlord is played on slot machine. I like the feeling of failing and succeeding on a combo or strategy. Simple game as it just collecting items and symbols
Fight in Tight Spaces is played on a grid. You play cards from your hand which is similar to the energy system found in Slay the Spire and Monster train. This is one of the few deck builder with movement and positioning that I like. Combat feels tense.
Thanks so much!
