I can agree that this movie wasn’t suited for kids, but it’s sad that they had that kid read that scripted criticism against it.

Although I enjoyed the first two Burton movies as a kid, because honestly, they were the only film options at the time, I can see how Batman Returns and its reception lead to the commercially safe and shallower sequels Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. With that said, all of the action figures were great!
