I am trying to get a clarification here on the “No porn” rule: I understand the concern with sh.it just.works not wanting to host communities/posts that contain porn/NSFW content. However, given the nature of Lemmy’s caching of subscribed external community data, is there an issue with using a sh.itjust.works account to subscribe to NSFW/porn communities from other instances?

I think there is a lot of confusion about the specifics of how federation works and the non-obvious consequences of various actions. So if this could be clarified here and in the pinned welcome post, that would be great. Thanks

    I don’t think so, as long as you don’t post nsfw inside the instance you’re probably fine

    I think you should maybe make two accounts, one for nsfw stuff and one for sfw stuff. At least thats what i did.
