Hello and thanks for joining The Far Side community on Lemmy! The Far Side was always one of my favorite comic strips. Very unique with the single panel layout and always witty with lots of LOL moments. I bugged my Dad to save me the daily newspaper to read The Far Side and other favorites like Calvin & Hobbes, Bloom County and a few others. In late 2019, The Far Side website went through a big redesign that includes the release of daily strips. Those are what I’m posting here in support of the website and Gary Larson. Feel free to add to the community with articles and other media highlighting The Far Side. Whatever we post, please keep it to stuff that’s legally available online.     You are the man. Not much content on Lemmy yet that is both high quality and reliable on a daily basis, but you’re scratching that itch.

    I’ll probably be reading almost every post over there, as I have been here. Keep up the good work 👏

      Thanks and happy to do it! I love both of these comics. It’s a nice trip down memory lane and it helps build our community.

      Me too. Gary has been getting back at it here and there, now using a tablet to illustrate stuff, so maybe the bug will get him and do some more.

    There were three formative comics in my youth: Calvin and Hobbes (C&H can be confused for Cyanide & Happiness which I love but I was a touch older then), Far Side, and Bloom County. Ack.
