WINNER: BUFFY FISH OWL 62-57

Welcome to Round 3!

Buffy Fish Owl had been making a name for itself in this tournament. It narrowly picked up a win against the star of the show, Barn Owl. Does this leave Buffy unstoppable? This large, goofy owl had won over a lot of heart so far, but we’ve still got a lot of great owls left.

The innocent looking Little Owl has been on a path of destruction, taking no prisoners. First down, Australia’s Barking Owl. Next victim, New Zealand’s only owl, the Ruru/Morepork. Now its sights are set on Southeast Asia to take down Buffy Fish Owl.

Here’s how our opponents stack up today.

Buffy Fish Owl

With an adult size of 40 to 48 cm (16 to 19 in) and a weight of 1,028 to 2,100 g (2.3 to 4.6 lb), it is the smallest fish owl species.

Little Owl

It is usually 22 cm (8.7 in) in length with a wingspan of 56 cm (22 in) for both sexes, and weighs about 180 g (6.3 oz).

Quite the difference in size, habitat, and look between these 2. Which is going to move on today? Vote now!

Logically, it would be about the Buffy fish owl and the White faced scops owl, the mustachy vampire owl.
Too bad, we don’t have some sort of wareowl to add a love triangle !

Stygian Owl could be good. He was one I had to cut from the tourney this year, but seeing how well the “goth” owls did, he might be in it next time.

And that’s how scary he looks in the daylight!

Indeed! Stygian means “of the River Styx,” mythical Greek boundary of the world of the living and the world of the dead!
