Senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk suggests that the Palestinian terror group could recognize Israel for the first time as a step toward Palestinian unity, potentially indicating the pressure it is currently under amid Israel’s military campaign to oust it from the Gaza Strip.
That’s an odd thing to do considering one of the reasons it’s speculated they launched the Oct 7 attack was because Saudi Arabia was about to recognize them.
Iirc the deal they had with israel was that they would not kill hamas leaders in qatar. I imagine that now they have reasons to be afraid.
