This quote is from his interview with Alex Haley before his assassination and the writing of his autobiography. Note, this was after his trip to Mecca and his conversion to Sunni Islam, where he renounced antisemitism and declared that we are “all God’s children.” He had left the Nation of Islam before this, where they met with the Nazis because they had common goals. I recommend everyone read the Autobiography of Malcolm X. He was a complex individual, as we all are. He made mistakes and became a better person despite them. He wasn’t perfect. None of us are. But his contribution to race advancement during the Civil Rights Movement was not insignificant.

I think the problem people have with the quote is that it ignores that religion is the main oppressor. Without the Islamists and the right wing Jews, Palistinians would have a chance at freedom.
