Just lost all my contacts in my Android phone.

Galaxy S10, Android v12.

Tried different contact apps, tried rebooting, tried googling (yes, Internet, I have the apps set to display all contacts).

Tried restoring contacts, and it says 0 restored.

They’re still in Gmail, so I tried exporting them and importing them onto my phone, but the phone won’t let me select the file.

I’m thinking I’m going to have to do a factory reset.

Any other suggestions before I bite three bullet and wipe the device?

I don’t have a solution, but you’re not alone. This happened to me this morning too.

Did you chose the right export format from gmail/Google contacts?

I don’t remember exactly but when I exported my google calendar to switch to framagenda I failed twice before finding the right format. I would advise you to try every format available.

Contacts are back. Damn Samsung crap.

Stupid Samsung app that logged out and all syncing stopped.

I happened to notice it’s little complaint, logged in via google, and everything came back.

    I’d rather have stock android.
