For example, if you cover up the parts of dresses that aren’t the same, it will still appear dramatically different because the background colors are so different.
Another example is if you’re working with a palette of grays, adding a very desaturated color, but not totally desaturated, will stick out and look colorful in contrast. That same color would look gray in comparison to a saturated palette. Same color, looks totally different depending on the other colors around it.
