Two quarries on Brisbane's outskirts could be transformed into recreational assets under a new plan announced by Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
I’d suggest expanding the Mt Coot-tha Gardens into the quarry when it’s closed. The near cliff-faces around the rim could provide interesting habitats that are usually under-represented in botanic gardens and obviously you can fill in the bottom with a lake.
