    I just told my kids where the presents are, and that they are more than welcome to ruin Christmas for themselves if they wanted to.

        I’ve done it for years. They avoid the present hiding place like the plague. :) I suspect my oldest ruined her Christmas once, but that’s all it took. My youngest is very good at delayed gratification.

          I wish my parents had done this. I was always afraid of accidentally stumbling over the Christmas presents and ruining the surprise.
