Would you be asking this question if you posted about a lefty getting shot? Probably not. But I think people are downvoting it because of the community it was posted in.

    Thoughts and prayers.

Honestly, Im just frustrated. Almost everything here gets downvoted for no good reason, even feelgood shit like this. I probably shouldnt have said anything, but it irks me.

Also thoughts and prayers? I’m agnostic.

        For no good reason

You have to stop and think that most of the downvotes come from people whose lives are directly impacted by the right-wing’s insanity. This “feel good” shit doesn’t make me feel good. It makes me think one less preacher trying to take my rights away is a good thing. I’m certainly not celebrating it, but it’s a bit of a relief when someone vocal on the right gets some of their medicine.

Maybe you should try to understand things from the other point of view. Like, a woman who has to carry her brain dead fetus to term because it’s illegal to get an abortion—because of the right wing. The list goes on and on.

        Perhaps the right isn’t right.

A person getting shot in the head isn’t a feel good story.

And people use the voting system like a disagree/agree button. Most people disagree with conservative politics, so the moment this shows up when sorting by new, it get’s downvoted.
