    Is there a ratio of energy used compared to energy stored in hydrogen production with current methods?

    It seems unlikely any such scheme would make more sense than using the electricity for any other purpose. The efficiency losses in anything that would burn hydrogen would be so high that you’d be better off using the kilowatts for an EV. At that point just keep burning fossil fuels for the things that can’t go electric yet.

    Love to see it. I always thought Hydrogen would make a pretty great energy storage/transfer medium. Lots of problems, lots of small successes in labs, but it’s not there yet. Hopefully it’ll happen sooner rather than later. This may be a step in that direction. If not, knowledge is great for knowledge’s sake alone.
