How many users once the bots are removed?
There’s much fewer bots here than on Reddit.

You can hide self identified bots in your settings, have you tried that?
I was referring to the massive amount of bots created on nearly completely unused instances that are currently doing nothing. They are massively inflating Lemmy’s number of users, active users is a much better indicator of real growth.
The use of captchas and email address requirements should cut down on the bot accounts at least slightly (the former more than the latter)

I’m sure It’s just a matter of time before a couple usernames make me question that we’re only defederated from/blocking Meta’s Threads (Fuck the Zuck) and Lemmygrad.ml/.com
