  • I dont think this is a wise way to think.

You can say the same thing about HAMAS and Israelis? Like would you support if Israeli started now raping women, not bombing after saying to evacuate Gaza, but literally killing them with guns on the point, children, defendless people, innocent ones who had done nothing, torture them. Would you still support Israelis if they were starting to do that?

Morality is not a reverse competition, like lol. It’s not about “Oh, you used a Nuclear bomb? I use a nuclear bomb, we all use a nuclear bomb”. Morality is about stopping this whole sht. Israelis are trying to neutralize HAMAS and their supporters, and obviously HAMAS told their supporters to stay at homes at Gaza and Gaza is the one that voted or supported HAMAS for more than a decade. So, their supporters are now at Gaza whether they want or not Im sorry but they’ll die, because they simply seem to support Raping women, killing innocent children, attacking from nowhere a country, undressing a woman and placing her on a tree and cheering. Like these are attrocities who none should commit. It’s NOT a fucking competition. And unfortunately, as war is hell and always chaotic, unfortunately innocent people who never supported such things are the minority and some may die too. Unfortunately. But the majority of Gaza is the one that supported the HAMAS being their “government”. Nobody seemed to complain, like we would do at Europe for Macron, Trump, or any president that did something bad.

If you support such atrocities, Im sorry but I dont think you belong to a peaceful humanity. You should either be placed in jail, or in a war … die so we don’t have people that support such atrocities anymore.

Same with Ukraine and Russian war. Just because Phorphorus was used on the one side, does not mean that you’ve got the moral high ground of using phosphorus too. It is not … a competition. End of story.

It’s about neutralizing the target that used Phorphorus in the first place, not about using it against them. It’s about neutralizing the target that raped your families, your women, killed your children, supports an organization that does commit such attrocities. Not about doing the same to them.

Peace by neutralizing a target is the end goal, not catastrophy of both countries and competing at who will commit more war crimes.

  • Yes from the government, not the people. People and Independents polled for this (55%) [source](https://edition.cnn.com/2023/08/04/politics/cnn-poll-ukraine/index.html#:~:text=Overall%2C 55%25 say the US,say it should do more.]

Independents mostly say the US has done enough to help Ukraine (56%) and that they oppose additional funding (55%).

A majority, but not all (68%) of those who say the US should do more to support Ukraine favor additional funding, as do 23% of those who say the US has already done enough.

And many people oppose helping Ukraine, when these warcrimes are happening inside Europe and thousands of innocent people die and civilian infrastructure is destroyed for nothing and people being terrorized, for the sake of a stupid Russia’s war.

It’s such a shame to see that people have such ignorance to what’s happening in the world while they live and prosper in peaceful places without war. People that have been building their villages, cities, towns, homes, for decades, now have nothing. Not even clothes or water. We’re talking about civilians, who are being bombed, inside Europe. And some Americans still believe “US has done enough”.

This is by principle war criminality, and should be opposed till the last stand. Till Russia is held accountable for its massive crimes against the world.

  • Switzerland has been well known for its neutrality, even in wars regardless, regardless of ethics in war they were neutral. I dont know what your hopes were based on, with all the respect:)

It’s like the only country that is really known for its strictness on its neutrality, despite being in the middle of Europe. Honestly with all the respect, I don’t know honestly why people are surprised for not giving weapons.

They barely have any soldiers even.

It would be more rational to be surprised if the opposite happened.

  • War is hell. But remember, all these people were sent to kill innocent people. I dont care about “why”. The ends doesnt justify the means.

They were sent to kill innocent people. You can kill yourself and save a ton of innocent lives by not placing mines all over the place. Kids even.

    You can bribe your commander.

You can run before all this happens. By the time you suspect they’re going to call you even. Tons of Russians have already done that.

You can revolute against your own government. Yes, going to prison, is FUCKING BETTER than killing innocent lives and children or supporting a war where people have been raping women.

Like jesus. The copium of trying to support these soldiers that were sent to kill other innocent people who have done NOTHING to them, is amazingly high.

Guys and girls. these people are there to kill people, kids, civilians. Not play on the playground. War is hell. And if you’re on the wrong side of war, you deserve no mercy until you’re immobilized. Maybe treatment, maybe being human to them. But once you’re active and ready to kill and support this war, you can fuck off back to Russia or the other world.

  • But not all these soldiers are war criminals

They literally are war criminals. They’re participating in an invasion for no cause other than boosting Putin’s ego.

And I’ve seen the propaganda advertisments in Russia “Go to war, support your country” and “Go to war, gives good money, support your family” and such.

Invading another country without cause makes you literally a war criminal. It is really … that simple. Russia is literally a terrorist state at that moment. They’ve killed hundreds of civilians, thousands of Ukrainian fighters as well. Putting mines all over the place. Crippling and injuring so many other fighters and civilians as well. Sent terrorist groups.

If you’re participating in such war, you are a war criminal. You can kill yourself. you can abandon your unit. You can bribe your commanders. You can run away before all this even starts. But by the moment you’re invading another country and you’re killing innocent people who have done NOTHING to you, you’re a war criminal. It is really … that simple. Coz it’s “either I save myself or I kill these innocent people”. That’s a war criminal mindset coz it makes it seem as if you’re a good guy in your mind. When you’re not.

  • No, the app is made for everybody who wants to use a messenger. Not just you and him. It’s supposed to be under the standards of the feddiverse.

The comments here are not a poll. Providing especially personal comments about a nerdy user like me and the guy I replied about “I would like it like ICQ” and such shit, would not help the creator make a good choice. Most people nowadays, especially zoomers, dont even know what ICQ is or how it works or how to even login to it. Most people, proven by ehm … the success of messenger, discord, whatsapp, telegram, viber, signal everything … want a messenger that provides what the mainstream messenger wants with most of the features that everybody provides and are mainstream used while having ease of access.

I could say the same with the guy I replied to. Again, I’m a software engineer with nerdy-influences towards Vim, Arch, barebones are much as I can, shortcuts only, i3wm, etc etc. But I’m also a UX/UI designer after-work for my own projects and I try to get in the shoes of the average user. Do you think the average user would want i3wm for their own window manager? Or Linux? Or Matrix with its own messy half-baked two-step verification? There’s UX/UI department for a reason. There’s no such thing as “you and me”, there’s “this audience and this audience”. And the nerd audience is a very small one.

We should try to help the creator. Not misguide him. Again, the comments are not a poll, they’re supposed to help to make a constructive conversation. And when you talk as if the app is made only about yourself, you’re not really helping.

  • That’s a great way of putting it.

Although, when you have millions of people in a platform it’s hard to prevent playful “wars” and “games” between people which works like chain-reaction and everybody starts doing anything or streamers like XQC realizing they can make content out of this and putting their own “minions” aka viewers to make chaos.

Sometimes, some things are just not in your control.
