Anyone who has spent time around these animals wouldn’t be too surprised by these findings. Cows are incredibly curious and can form deep social bonds. Chickens can recognize and bond with people. Pigs are incredibly smart and can solve relatively complex problems. It’s much easier for us to commodify and kill them if we lie to ourselves and say they aren’t individuals who can think and feel like other animals.
