There’s no way they have Wardlow taking the belt from Joe. So that begs the question what story are they telling here?

I mean Wardlow can’t be completely dumb muscle and Adam Cole is injured. If Wardlow wins I expect him to hey kicked out for a returning Kyle O’Reilly

Cole has already shown his tunnel vision by making enemies out of the Acclaimed/Daddy Ass, Bang Bang Gang and I’m guessing Hangman in a few weeks

I don’t think it’s a mouthpiece problem - the guy is a meh promo rather than bad, imo - it’s a “you have no character” problem. It’s the same problem that Roddy had until, well, now. The massive difference being that Roddy has been an incredible wrestler for the best part of the last 15 years.

But while Wardlow is a great body guy, and extremely athletic for someone his size, he’s still green in terms of character and wrestling storytelling. In a company where your character isn’t scripted to the nth degree, he’s struggling to be more than that. Hobbs has the same issue, although I’m more interested in what he’s tried to do, even if it failed, than I have been with Wardlow.

I think it’s great that TK is willing to let people grow and improve - he clearly sees a lot of potential in Wardlow - but really he would probably benefit the most from a year long run in RoH, where his goal is to find his character.
