And the last great Big 4 stronghold has fallen. First guy not called Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or Murray to win it since 2003.

Damn. What a match to win. I still believed that djokovic would win, but I’m happy that I was proven wrong. He has the mentality of a giant. He’s a history in the making. The fact that he played so bravely against Djokovic.

I’m glad Djokovic’s classic toilet shenanigins didn’t pay off for him this time!

Oh yes I was so afraid of that. That said, I really don’t appreciate Djokovic’s behavior on court… it’s totally against the spirit of the game at times, regardless of what he says off-court

What you are on the court is what you are, What you are off the court is simply PR

Totally agree with you. The way Djokovic broke his racquet off the net was ridiculous also. So glad Carlos won. A real sportsman!

Mea culpa, this post wasn’t showing up for me until now. What a performance. So good it deserves two threads!

Well played to lad. He’s separated himself from the rest for real. Hoping he’s got a long and healthy career ahead of him. His playing style is infectious.

I missed this match. I don’t generally watch replays of matches that I already know the result of, I mean it’s not as exciting when you know where it’s going.

I do have access to full replays via my provider (Stan Sport). Do people think maybe it’s worth rewatching all 5hrs of this one?
