I always assumed most comic artists created the Sunday strips in advance as one off story lines so they could have a day off. I hadn’t realized it before but apparently Berkley didn’t feel like doing Sunday strips at all for the first few months. He did create one for December 14 during the first week of the comic but it won’t be until May 10 the Sunday comic returns. The first one is actually a colored version of the Dec 14 strip.
