Edit: Few days of voting to go but CM Punk has pulled into the lead!
CJ Perry and Miro’s never ending fued and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre match have no business being on this list.

i literally had no knowledge of a texas chainsaw massacre match so i had to look it up and i still have no knowledge of it… and i love aew :L
It was a goofy match between JJ and Jeff Hardy that eventually had someone dressed as Leatherface come out and chase people. Was it peak wrestling? No. Was it complete chaos? Yes. Was it silly? Also yes.
Was it silly? Also yes.
If that isn’t peak wrestling then I don’t know what is.

I wanted to make fun of them but I couldn’t do it. But seriously, they thought the antagonist in Texas Chainsaw Massacre was actually named Texas Chainsaw Massacre! C’mon now.
it makes more sense knowing it was jeff jarrett, who always has fun matches like this but for some reason i just don’t remember it :L
The only thing I honestly remember about it was that it happened. I don’t remember anything that occurred during the actual match.
There’s always 1-2 on the list which are the clear bottom-of-the-list picks.
i want cm punk to win the award of the year but also he’s such an asshole that i just want to go away that i don’t want him to get credit for winning an award. you see my problem?

I think Mitchell doing the coke skit is the biggest moment this year, it probably cost NWA their TV slot, sure they are still allegedly doing the streaming portion of the deal, but all accounts were it was going to be TV and then it wasn’t right after that. That’s a lot of harm to a business of the NWA’s size.
Punk might have been a big problem in AEW, but all around it didn’t really hurt AEW when he was kicked out. So I don’t think it has any business winning, sure it was pure shittiness but come on, NWA who needed publicity in a good way just completely shits the bed doing a cocaine spot in 2023 like it was 1983, and the absolute craziest part is it was Billy’s fucking idea what a bunch of ID-10-T’s.
Yeah from the look of it we may be getting punk but I hope it remains close enough that RD gives us a double-feature (not likely lol).
Punk and Mitchell have to be the frontrunners, just because of the ramifications they had on their respective promotions. I gave my vote to Punk, since it’s the much bigger story on the much bigger stage.
roman reigns though mostly because it feels like the bloodline stuff has gone on for a decade at this point
