    The only one that feels like an innovation to me is the pinion mgu. Mid drive motor+gearbox combo with electric shifting and shifts are delayed to the first optimal timing while pedalling, or stoplight shifts, belted to the rear wheel. Lowest maintenance and idiot friendly ebike drive system. Plus it’s just really fucking cool. I wish it was available on a hardtail with fenders and cargo racks in Canada.

        My only gripe with the fully human powered pinion system is the wrist twist shifter. I ride with stupidly gummy front suspension because of my shoddy wrists already. I would otherwise love to have one if I could afford it.

          I’ve always had trigger shifters, no idea if that would be a problem for me but I’ll never know because they’re way too expensive for me lol

            I only had trigger shifters recently when I started biking to work and they changed my life. My hands going totally numb was the main deterrent to biking regularly. Realizing suspension was adjustable was also beneficial.
