I wish they would stop blurring photos that have fascists in it. Everyone who is a fascist, or pose for a photo with a fascist, should not be able to hide their shame.

They don’t seem to have the same problem when it comes to left leaning organisations like climate protesters.

So, why the kid gloves with right wingers?

Then there’s pretext, and the leftists get painted as thugs - appropriate targets for more aggressive crackdowns.

It’s a lose-lose, but protesters will almost never benefit by responding to police brutality with an armed response. Counter-protests are generally a lesser problem.

Small comfort to the reporter who got beaten up or SWATted or stalked, or the news organization that gets vandalized or DDoSed. If you’re more likely to visit violence on your critics, people are less likely to criticize you. It’s not fair, it’s not right, but it’s true.

        Greta Thunberg.

But that’s the thing right? Greta put herself out there, much like Craig Kielberger did when he was a minor, or any number of junior athletes. It’s 100% different when a minor is involved in a crime even when their participation is voluntary.

            put herself out there

I feel like saying “my race is superior to all the other races” IS *putting yourself out there.

They were in fucking SOCIAL GROUPS. That is the textbook definition of “putting yourself out there”.

I won’t protect those who won’t protect others. Why do you?

Mate, being in baby’s first judo club at the racist YMCA is not the same thing as actively trying to become the face of global climate protest.

I don’t, but this is the law in Canada: we don’t identify minors who commit or participate in crimes. Full stop. You can disagree with this, but that is the way it is.

I’m sure they weren’t. But to my original point, anyone publishing one of those photos would take pains to obscure minors. If they’re not certain I’d imagine they’d err on the side of caution.

They’re not hiding their shame they’re hiding them from people like you. You’ll notice that the actual Nazi isn’t blurred out.

I have some recently insane family members and I’d very much appreciate if the media blurred my image if I appeared in any photos with them.

And the rest of the people in the Fascist org have their faces blurred because? I mean, the ones posing with that flag are wearing balaclavas, but the one where you see the subject’s face, the rest are blurred, which is what I’m talking about. Out fascists and their supporters.

Edit: There is a difference between being in a FAMILY photo, and a GROUP photo for a Fascist org.

The one that’s zoomed in on him and there are 2 people to his left and right? I don’t know the context of it since it’s zoomed in, but the other picture in that article also has a blurred person and says it’s a family photo in the captions.

that’s an anti-nazi fight club, which is this temporary autonomous zone that follows every nazi around anywhere they go. you can just walk up to them and hit them, it’s wonderful.

I’ll take this opportunity to promote the book, Culture Warlords, by Talia Levin. She went undercover online in nazi hate groups and emerged to write a spectacular book about it. They live very sad lives (as they should). It’s quite eye opening.

I bought the book after hearing her on a podcast. Then I heard her on another podcast, where Brianna Grey Joy completely fucked up the interview (as she sometimes does). Talia said fuck it, I’m out. I was impressed at her attitude. I grabbed the book and immediately sat down to read it.

Check out the interview linked above, or listen to the audio version if, like me, you consider podcasts to be an audio medium. Hopefully, you’ll be encouraged to read the book or organize against these cretins.
