From what I’ve seen here, reddit and reponses to some of my questions I’ve very recently asked regarding tensions between the right and left in the general US population… yes, I’d say this is a very likely scenario. I had no idea things were that tense there. I had this idea that most of the US didn’t know or care who was their president, but it seems that this is old info and that things are very very different nowadays.

I could be wrong though, I don’t live there.
